As before, I’ve purchased several of Delimann cream tea hampers over the year’s and I know my recipients have enjoyed them. I don’t like the late delivery times though.
Well naturally I haven’t seen either of the hampers you sent to my friends, but their feedback to me was first class, they really enjoyed the huge scones, and Strawberry jam with proper Strawberries in it and the lovely clotted cream. All in all a great choice on my part for using Delimann. As you are aware I have taken advantage of your hamper service many times now over the year’s and there has never been any problems. I though would like to say that the delivery times were ABYSMAL, why on earth were both deliveries so late in the day (?) especially the one for Mrs Trevellyan who was celebrating her 90th birthday, and Delimann knew this as I mentioned it when submitting my notes to the driver. That was pretty uncaring and made me realise that this is of course a business so it doesn’t matter to you what time of day the hamper gets to the recipient!!! I ordered both hampers to my mind well in advance.

We’re glad to hear that your recipients were happy with their gifts but feel that we have to respond to your unfair comments regarding the delivery and unkind review of us as a company. We are in no way an uncaring business and we take great pride in our customer service and always try our best to make sure our customers are happy, as you can see from the many 5 star reviews we receive. We provide clear delivery information in 2 different places on every single product page and again on the checkout page so that our customers are fully informed when they make their purchase. When you purchased your hampers you chose the free delivery service which is between 8.30am and 6.30pm, this is clearly stated on the product pages and checkout page before you choose your date on the calendar. We are aware that some people (like yourself) would prefer to make sure that the gift is delivered earlier in the day so with that in mind, we also provide an option at the checkout to upgrade the delivery to an AM delivery service which would ensure the hamper arrives early in the day. However, you did not choose this option and instead, opted for the service which clearly states that delivery can occur at any time between 8:30am and 6:30pm on your chosen day. Both of your hampers were delivered on your chosen date, within the time frame stated. One hamper did indeed have a Happy 90th Birthday message, however this doesn’t mean that we can ask DPD to deliver your hamper earlier in the day, despite not choosing or paying for this premium delivery. All of our hampers are dispatched the day before your chosen delivery date as they contain fresh food that is baked on the morning of dispatch, this means that no matter how far in advance you order, your hamper will always be dispatched the day before your chosen delivery date to ensure the food is as fresh as possible. So the fact that you ordered in advance doesn’t have any bearing on your delivery time, this is down to the the delivery option you chose at the checkout when you made your purchases. With all this in mind, we hope you can understand why we felt it necessary to respond to your allegations of being an ‘uncaring company’ with an ‘ABYSMAL’ delivery service as this is certainly not the case.
Absolutely lovely my nan and grandad really appreciate it when I buy them these hampers.. really worth the money and fresh.
